This sale is for a home made 70/28 MHz Practical Wireless Meon Transverter, 25-30 Watt PA, 20dB attenuator & Power PTT cable. It consists of two back to back Die-cast metal boxes. One has the Practical Wireless transverter and a small board with an attenuator and a two section filter for the 28 MHz TX input.

The second has a modified Power amplifier originally designed by STC. The addition of diode bias provides linearity. The PA provides 25-30 Watts output, also a Low Pass filter, to provide the filtering and a coaxial change over relay antenna switch between receive and transmit. The other item provided is a 20 dB attenuator to handle the TX input from your 28 MHz transceiver.

It is rated at 100 Watts for a short time. The last item is the power cable and PTT cable.

Copy of the the Practical Wireless Transverter article is included. Please note it is important that you limit the 28MHz transmit drive level from your 28 MHz transceiver. You want a nice clean signal and also over-driving the TX input could cause damage to the transverter! The provided external attenuator will help control the input level.
